After the incident, WWE issued this statement: “WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the New York Police Department and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
According to Paul Davis of Wrestling News, “The New York Police Department has charged 24-year-old person with attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs for the attack on Seth Rollins during WWE Monday Night Raw at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.”
While Speaking with TMZ, Seth Rollins claimed that the incident was terrifying and it happened very quickly. Seth Rollins said,
It’s terrifying, brother. It happened very quickly. I was mostly just reacting and hoping that our security would come and do their job. Which they did very quickly. And then was just trying to detach and move on. Hope that everybody is okay.Once the tackle happened I knew what was going on. The guy was barreling around the corner … no serious injuries. Nothing like that. I was safe, we were safe. Everything was okay. I think as a precedence he probably should not be allowed at the events.
