Pat McAfee Scheduled To Compete At SummerSlam

Pat McAfee is one of the most entertaining commentators in WWE history. McAfee wrestled with Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania 38, the match that nobody expected. Recently McAfee had an altercation with a SmackDown superstar.

This past Friday Night SmackDown, Happy Corbin lost to Madcap Moss. After the match, Happy Corbin did a promo on Pat McAfee. Corbin said McAfee was always criticizing him and making jokes about him. Corbin reminded that McAfee called him “Bum Ass Corbin” when he was poor. Then McAfee took a microphone and started calling him “Bum Ass Corbin” again. Later, fans at the arena and McAfee laughed at Corbin. It looks like Pat McAfee is slowly becoming a part-time wrestler in WWE.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the Happy Corbin and Pat McAfee angle. Meltzer noted that WWE is going to do a match between McAfee and Corbin at the SummerSlam premium live event this year.

It felt watching it, I don’t know this, but it felt watching it like they’re going to do McAfee and Corbin at, you know, like, maybe SummerSlam.

As of this writing, only one match has been added to the SummerSlam card. It is Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing Match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. However, that match may be changed in the coming weeks due to fan backlash. We hope another superstar will be adding to the match and make it more interesting.

WWE SummerSlam is scheduled to take place on July 30th at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
