Goldberg made his return to WWE in 2016, and since then, he has wrestled several high-profile matches. Goldberg competed against Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at this year’s Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia, but he was unable to win the match. Since then, Goldberg has not been seen on WWE television.
Goldberg’s first match took place on September 22nd, 1997, in Salt Lake City, where he defeated Hugh Morrus. It was the first victory of one of the most famous streaks in wrestling history.
SmackDown is scheduled to take place on September 23rd in Salt Lake City, Utah. That show will be held one day after Goldberg’s 25th anniversary in WWE. However, there’s currently no report on WWE celebrating Goldberg’s anniversary on that show. Maybe they will introduce September as #GoldbergMonth.
WWE previously celebrated several superstars' anniversaries. Also, the company will celebrate Rey Mysterio’s 20th anniversary in WWE on the upcoming Monday Night RAW.
We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
