In the main event of this past Monday Night RAW, Edge defeated Dominik Mysterio by disqualification after Rhea Ripley interfered in the match. Then, The Judgment Day brutally attacked Edge with chair shots and Finn Balor hit Coup de Grace to Edge’s leg.
On this past Wednesday's The Bump, WWE announced a storyline injury and stated that The Rated-R Superstar has suffered a grade 2 MCL sprain.
Following an attack from The Judgment Day on WWE Raw, an MRI on Edge revealed a grade 2 MCL sprain.

Steve Carrier of Ringside News reported that Edge won’t be out of action for so long and he is scheduled for the Extreme Rules premium live event.
We have a major update on Edge. We were able to confirm that he will be at #ExtremeRules on October 8th. So, his "injury" hiatus won't last long this time.
WWE Extreme Rules is set to take place on October 8th at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Edge has plenty of time to sell his injury and prepare for the premium live event.
The Company has announced only one match so far for the Extreme Rules PLE and that is Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey in an Extreme Rules match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
