Last night’s SmackDown took place from the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. During the show, The Imperium came to the ring and did a promo on Brawling Brutes. Sheamus then interrupted Gunther and started a brawl. The segment ended with Imperium brutally beating Sheamus as The Celtic Warrior came to the ring without Ridge Holland and Butch.
In the main event of SmackDown, Drew McIntyre, Johnny Gargano, and Kevin Owens faced Austin Theory and The Alpha Academy in a six-man tag team match. McIntyre hit a claymore kick on Theory to pick up the victory.
After SmackDown went off the air, Gunther made his way for a dark match. The Ring General put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Shinsuke Nakamura. In the end, Gunther was able to retain the IC Title in a hard-hitting bout. However, Nakamura hit a Kinshasa on Gunther after the match to send fans home happy.
