A lot of backstage drama happened in the AEW locker room in the past few months and one exploded at AEW All Out media scrum. CM Punk ripped Adam Page, Colt Cabana and the EVPs during the press conference which resulted in a huge backstage brawl.
After the incident, AEW President Tony Khan suspended Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler from the company indefinity. Also, Khan stripped CM Punk from the AEW World Championship and The Elite from the Trios Championships.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that an independent investigation firm is investigating the backstage altercation during the All Out media scrum. The firm will take video interviews with the persons who were at the time during the backstage brawl and the key witnesses are MJF and AEW Chief Legal Officer Megha Parekh.
The company has brought in an independent firm to investigate and do video interviews with everyone in the room, which included all the names mentioned above, as well as many others, including a number of neutral parties who were in the room and were believed to have seen everything as it happened. The key names that would have included were Max “MJF” Friedman and AEW and Jacksonville Jaguars Chief Legal Officer Megha Parekh.- H/T Ringside News
Tony Khan will have to make the hardest decision since AEW started in 2019 after the investigation ends. CM Punk suffered a torn triceps during the match against Jon Moxley at All Out and he will be out of action for a long time.
