Finn Balor is the first ever Universal Champion in WWE. Unfortunately, his championship reign was kept short to one day after suffering a shoulder injury in 2016. Since then, Balor became McMahon’s least favorite and McMahon did not push him as a top star in the company.
Last July, Triple H took control of WWE and introduced fresh storylines to the company. The Game brought back Karrion Kross, Dexter Lumis, and Jonny Gargano and made them the next big thing in the company. It seems like HHH has a major plan for Finn Balor as well.
WrestleVotes reported that WWE’s new regime has significant plans for Finn Balor. They also stated that Balor will be playing a major role in WWE's near future.
I’m told that significant plans are lined up for Finn Balor in the future. I don’t know exactly for what those plans are, but he is a strong favorite of the new leadership group. Expect Finn to play a big role in the foreseeable future of WWE.
