Stephanie McMahon has been working for WWE over a twenty plus years now. Stephanie first came to WWE as a model for the sales and merchandise department then she started her official career as an Account Executive for WWE. Stephanie then entered the creative department as a director of creative writing in 2002. Later she was promoted to senior Vice President of Creative Writing. In 2007, Stephanie McMahon became an Executive Vice President of Creative. She was again promoted as Chief Brand Officer for WWE in 2013. Since then, Stephanie done a great job and won numerous awards for her works.
Yesterday, Stephanie McMahon announced that she is taking a hiatus from WWE duties effective from tomorrow. Stephanie stated that she will returning to WWE after taking care of her family.
As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.

Stephanie's husband Triple H suffered a cardiac event last year. We think that might be the reason she is taking a hiatus from WWE.
However, Fightful Select has provide an update regarding Stephanie McMahon taking a leave of absence. They stated, Stephanie has become less involved in WWE duties recently.
Stephanie had been less involved in WWE of late. Those that we spoke to around the situation quickly shut down any potential rumors that she was pushed out of the position.
PWInsider reported that, no one in the company knew she is taking a leave of absence and WWE staff are shocked after hearing the announcement.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, WWE already find out the suitable person for most of the Stephanie’s duties. It’s WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan.
